Mitcham Football Club in Melbourne’s outer east reached out to Pickstar in the hope of securing an AFLW star to address their Under 16 female team.
The young players, who endured a tough start to the season, needed some words of encouragement to get their game back on track.
After shortlisting some of the club’s favourite women athletes, Carlton midfielder Sarah Hosking was booked to share her knowledge and experience of the game and run some drills during training.
Outcome
Sarah was very generous with her time and made sure the players went away with some valuable insights they could use for the remainder of their season.
