Swifts overcome all odds to record emphatic Super Netball victory

The NSW Swifts claimed an upset victory over the Sunshine Coast Lightning in the Super Netball Grand Final 2019.

The team came into the game as underdogs having three key players to injury including captain, Maddy Proud who suffered a torn ACL.

Star centre, Paige Hadley kept dreams of a possible upset victory alive by asking, 'why not us?' when questioned about the Swifts slim chance at victory the day before the game.

Hadley was right to dare to dream as the team which also included PickStar's own: Sophie Garbin, Sarah Klau, and Maddy Turner, were able to convincingly defeat the lightning and jubilantly lift the Super Netball Trophy.
