Could the World's Fastest Man Play A-League Soccer?

He recently graced Aussie television screens in a Coles Supermarket ad campaign and now it seems like he could be staying a bit more permanently!

The fastest man in history, Usain Bolt, is set to trade in his track and field shoes for some soccer boots with A-League team, the Central Coast Mariners.

Bolt, 31, has agreed to a six-week trial with the Mariners commencing in August (2018) with the chance to score a multi-million dollar season long contract should he prove himself to the club.

The eight-time Olympic gold medal champion has always been vocal about his love for the sport and aspirations to transition when he had retired from track and field.

He has played in a number of charity matches and most recently trialled with with German side Borussia Dortmund and Norway's Stromsgodset.

This has already created buzz for the A-League and if Bolt ends up impressing who knows what this could do for soccer and sport in Australia?
